OBITUARY Judith C. (Robbins) Vanek-Freeman December 15, 1940 – October 17, 2018 Judith C. (Robbins) Vanek-Freeman, age 77, of Lansing, MI, most recently of Dresden, TN, passed away on Wed. Oct. 17, 2018.

She was born Dec. 15,1940 to Zion and Ninabelle Robbins in Lansing, MI. Judith is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Denny Vanek and Jack Freeman; sisters, Janice Lowe, Jackie Johns; and son-in-law, Doug Powers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Denny Jr., Debbie Powers, and David; sister, Julianne Hebert; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Judy loved spending time with family and friends. She was the founder of the baby animal tent for the Clinton County 4H Fair, and was a long time resident of DeWitt, MI.

Judy was a master of all kinds of crafts and baking and she shared this love with others. Judy loved animals and raised many different kinds over the years. She was always a very busy person and her favorite motto was “She who rests, rusts”.

Services for Judy will be held on Oct. 22, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel at 1 p.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice Care, and Capital Area Humane Society.
