Obituary for Herbert Prugger Herbert Prugger passed away Sunday April 29, 2018 at the age of 96 years. He was born on November 27, 1921 in Coccau, Austria in the Alps on the family farm to John and Theresa (nee Martinz) Prugger. Herb came to America thru Ellis Island on August 20, 1929 with his mother Theresa and his brother John Jr

He lived in Milwaukee, graduated from Custer High School Class of 1941 and later served in the US Navy during WWII (1942-1945). On June 18, 1949, Herb married Betty Jane Sealander and began their family. He began his career as a welder, then mason and established his career, as a sheet metal worker, for over 35 years.

Herb was a reful man, able to create or repair anything. He built three homes, through his own efforts, and was always there with a helping hand for anyone who needed it. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Herbert is survived by his two daughters; Jan (Dave) Charland and Diana (Robert) Johnson, grandchildren; David (Susie) Ruhland, Daniel Ruhland, Chad (Ashley) Johnson and Aaron (Hanna) Johnson, great-grandchildren; Alexis, Zander and William Ruhland, Beau and Gus Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, his brother John Pugger Jr. and a granddaughter Heather Johnson. A Funeral Service for Herbert will be held at Noon on Thursday May 3, 2018 at the Phillip Funeral Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend).

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 3rd at the funeral home from 10:00am until time of service at noon. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park following the service.
