Herbert R. Arnold Junior, 59, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was an avid traveler who loved to be on the water, relax or sweat at the gym, and passionately maintained gorgeous gardens with a lush green yard that attracts hummingbirds and bunnies. Herb shared his love of food by cooking for everyone from his granddaughter Ava to the backyard coyotes.

Herb was a third-generation Westborough resident, a 1977 graduate of Westborough High School and a graduate of Assabet Technical School. He was a dedicated and skilled machinist of 39 years at Westborough Machine Shop, and a member of Siloam Lodge AF & AM. He is survived by wife Susan J. (Weber) Arnold; parents Herbert and Verne (Barnes) Arnold; two children, Melissa (Arnold) Underwood and husband, Adam, and Zachary Arnold and his fiancé, Aubrey Armento; three brothers, Eddie Arnold, Shawn Arnold, and Andy Arnold; and granddaughter Ava Underwood.

Herb’s most endearing qualities were his love and dedication as a husband, son, father, bro, uncle, and pops. A Celebration of Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers or if you wish to donate on Herb’s behalf, please send checks to: Westborough Little League, Inc., PO Box 164, Westborough, Ma 01581; please write in the memo field “Donation for Herbert Arnold”.
