Hettie Fraley Wagner, 71, of Connersville passed away early Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at her home. A daughter of Reverend Carl V. and Oleda Jones Fraley, Hettie was born on June 7, 1947, in Lexington, Kentucky, and graduated from Rowan County High School with the class of 1965. On September 7, 1968, Hettie married Francis Neal Wagner in Morehead, Kentucky.

Mr. Wagner survives. Hettie was a faithful member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and St. Anne Altar Society where she served as president for nine years. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and visited the homebound.

Always outgoing, Hettie’s flamboyant personality and quick wit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Don’t worry; she will behave herself. For many years, she played the part of “Stanta Clause” and was a clown for the ministry at Fayette Regional Health System.

Hettie was active in her community, including memberships in Beta Sigma Phi, Eastern Star, and a CASA Volunteer. For many years, she was employed at Stant Manufacturing, and for over 30 years, she worked as a hairdresser. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother “Gregory,” Hettie cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Besides her husband of 50 years, Neal Wagner, survivors include a daughter, Snookie (Jeff) Dalrymple of Connersville; two grandchildren, Hettie Dalrymple and Jay Dalrymple, both of Connersville; a brother, Phillip Fraley of Granville, Ohio; a sister, Carla (Gary) Redelman of Connersville; several nieces and nephews. Hettie was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Dustin Boehm at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Gabriel Church Endowment Fund, and online condolences may be made anytime at millermosterrobbins.com.
