OBITUARY Hiram Alden Herman June 7, 1941 – October 11, 2018 Hickory- Hiram “Alden” Herman, 77, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Carolina Rehab of Burke. Alden was born in Catawba County on June 7, 1941, he was he the son of the late David T. Herman Sr. and Helen Valeria Carpenter Herman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Valeria Anderson and Betty Lou Sigler.

He is survived by his brother David T. Herman Jr. and wife Sharon of Hickory. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dave Guelzow officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www. hickoryfh.com.
