Horace Lane Clark passed away May 20, 2019, at age 83. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Bertha Mae Clark; brother, Oliver “Scoots” Clark; and sister, Jean Gillian. Horace is survived by his wife, Jean Clark; daughters, Marjorie (Tim) Boykin and Melodie (Gordon) Schwabacher; son, Tim Clark; brother, John (Rubine) Clark; grandchildren, Tim Clark and Cora Schwabacher; step-children, Gary (Pam) Burgett and Cindy (Steve) Edwards; step-grandchildren, Brandon (Shannon) Burgett, Nate Burgett, Dylan Burgett, Lindsey (Jeremy) Morris, Brad (Jessica) Edwards, and Josiah Edwards.

Horace was born in Golden, Mississippi and proud to say that he grew up in Red Bay, Alabama. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Gardendale and a member of Fultondale First Baptist Sunday School Class. Horace was an electrician for more than 40 years and was always ready to “fix” anything.

He had a quick wit, and always loved a good joke. Horace loved Alabama football, and enjoyed watching the games with family and friends. George Golden will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 12:00 p.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home with burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
