He was born in Logan County, Kentucky on January 5, 1934 to the late Hubert “Pete” and Bertie Mae (Powell) Britt. Leon was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, worked in maintenance with Revlon Cosmetics, Yardly of London Cosmetics, Lea and Perrins Worcestershire and Logan Aluminum and a Army Veteran.

He is survived by his: Wife of 41 years Lois Britt, three sons; W. Glenn Britt of New Jersey, Thomas L. Britt of New Jersey and David W. Britt of North Carolina, two daughters; Shirley Nolan (Greg) of Australia and Lisa Mauriello of New Jersey, two brothers; Charles Britt (Margie) of Auburn and Wendell Britt of Auburn, three sisters Lillian Huff (Howard) of Franklin, Geraldine Hall (Steve) of Auburn and Carol Daniel (Jim) of Tennessee and five grandchildren. Funeral services for Leon Britt will be conducted Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel with Bro. Wesley Anderson officiating and burial to follow in the Bucksville Cemetery.
