Obituary of Hugh P. O’Neill Hugh P. O’Neill, Jr., 85, of Olney, MD, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, Plymouth Meeting, PA, and North Cape May, NJ, passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 22, 1932 to the late Hugh P. & Margaret (Brennan) O’Neill. He was a graduate of St. Athanasius School, Northeast Catholic High School Class of 1951 and LaSalle University Class of 1962.

Hugh served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954 in Cherbourg, France. He founded O’Neill Insurance Adjusters in 1981, which he operated until his retirement in 2015. He also was a former employee of General Accident Insurance Company.

Whether near or far in his travels, he was guaranteed to see at least one friend from one of these chapters of his life and enjoy sharing many good memories. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Carsley. Hugh is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Rane), of Olney, MD; son Hugh P. O’Neill III and wife Kelly Brown O’Neill of Mount Joy, PA; daughter Suzanne O’Neill and husband Clesson Turner of Montgomery Village, MD; two beloved granddaughters, Claire O’Neill and Nora Turner; two nieces, Patricia Carsley Baasch (Herb) and Terri Carsley, and brother-in-law Joseph Carsley.

His Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church 3050 Walton & Township Line Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Friends may call on Monday Morning from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Cheltenham, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: Saint Joseph Villa, c/o Sisters of Saint Joseph Development Office, 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118.
