IDA’s Obituary IDA MAE BAILEY GAINES, 94; NATIVE OF RUSSELLVILLE, KY, WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE RILEY BAILEY AND EULA BAILEY. IDA WAS MARRIED TO THE LATE MOSES GAINES, SR. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH IN RUSSELLVILLE.

IDA WAS ONE OF THE OLDEST MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH, AND SERVED AS A PAST SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER, PIANIST AND MEMBER OF THE CULINARY DEPARTMENT. IDA WAS ALSO OVER THE YOUTH CHOIR AS WELL. IN HER SPARE TIME SHE ENJOYED VOLUNTEERING AT THE CHURCH.

IDA DID DOMESTIC WORK FOR MANY YEARS BUT WAS A PREVIOUS LIBRARIAN FOR KNOB CITY SCHOOL. IDA MAE GAINES PASSED AWAY ON JANUARY 12, 2019 AT GENESIS COLONIAL CENTER IN BOWLING GREEN, KY. ALONG WITH HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND, SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER SIBLINGS, NOLEN BAILEY; MAGDALINE NOURSE; MAUDE ETHEL KILLEBREW.
