Ida “Pat” (Parson) Smith, 84, of New Cumberland, died October 9, 2018, at home. Daughter to the late Paul and Pauline (Long) Parson, she was born on February, 19, 1934 in Lewistown. Ida retired from Boscov’s Department Store, Camp Hill, after working for many years as a telephone receptionist.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, and she loved watching the Nittany Lions play football on Saturday afternoons. Ida also loved to travel – she especially enjoyed… Read More » the beach and the casinos in Atlantic City. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth N. Smith, III (Audrey) of Key Largo, FL, Gregory N. Smith of Larksville and Todd M. Smith (Monica) of Honolulu, HI; a daughter, Janet L. Bechtel (Dennis) of Etters; and a grandson, Christopher.

She also leaves behind three brothers, Paul Parson (Luann) of St. Michael’s, MD, Lewis Parson (Helen) of McClure, and Barry Parson (Rebecca) of Lewistown; three sisters, Mary Wagner of Beavertown, Marth Wagner of Lewistown, and Connie Wagner of Lewistown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth N. Smith, Jr., who passed away in 2017. A visitation will be held from 10:30-11AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
