Born on February 9, 1928 in Isonville, Elliott County, Kentucky, daughter of James and Bertha (Prince) Ison. Ida was the beloved mother of Archie (Lisa) Stegall, Suzette (Bill) Stegall-Baker, Kenneth (Kay) Stegall, Terry Stegall, and Annette Stegall Tackett; loving grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 24, and great-great grandmother of 4.

Ida traveled with her husband, Allen, throughout the United States and Canada and parts of Mexico. She and Allen were snow birds wintering in their motor home in Orlando, Florida.

They often took family members with them on trips in their motor home as far as Alaska and Maine. She shopped at yard sales wherever she went, keeping or giving away the best, and selling the rest. Everyone she met was treated as a special best friend.

She was always smiling and in good humor and set a positive example for everyone. Each of her children were treated as her favorite. Lupe Stegall, Gail Bailey, and Kim Ferrizolli remain devoted family members.

Ida grew up in Elliott County, Kentucky where she met her husband Allen, who also grew up in Elliott County. They married at a young age and moved to Ohio after the birth of Archie. Elliott County was always her first home and she made sure her children spent time with her cherished relatives in Kentucky.

She maintained her devotion to God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost throughout her life and will see Allen, Perry, and Jakob in heaven, along with many of her friends and relatives that have passed before her. Friends may call on Friday, October 5th, 2018, from 5-7pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio.
