Imogene’s Obituary Parker, Imogene Meredith Passed to her reward on January 17, 2019. A mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she doted on her family, giving over her life to their wellbeing, their happiness. She and her husband Merle lived to entertain, to bring a broad circle of friends together on any old excuse for a party.

Country music played in the background of those parties, Imogene a fan of Nashville her entire life. She nurtured her flowers as she did her family – with her unending, undivided attention – and her blossoms graced her home and those of her family and friends. She read widely, embroidered occasionally, dressed stylishly, and made candy every Christmas.

After Merle’s passing in October, 1987 she gave over even more of her time and energies to her boys. Her lifelong computer password: my three sons. Imogene is survived by Jerry (Heidi), John (Andrew), Randy (Jane), ten grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Imogene Parker’s last party will take place at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 West Fifteenth Street in Wichita, Thursday afternoon at 1 PM. Interment immediately following at White Chapel Cemetery, 17th and Oliver, Wichita. Viewing available Wednesday evening 6PM until 8PM at Cochran Mortuary 1411 N. Broadway, Wichita.
