Obituary for Imogene W. MacDonald Imogene W. MacDonald, 91, of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Arbor Glen at Arbor Trace. Formerly of Westport, CT she began wintering in Naples in 1988 before making it her permanent home. Imogene was born June 29, 1927 in New York City, NY a daughter of the late Stanley and Imogene (Harbor) Williamson.

She was a Registered Nurse and an active volunteer with the American Red Cross. Mrs. MacDonald served as the first female deacon at Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport, CT. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs.

Imogene was an avid golfer who also liked to entertain; but most importantly she was a dedicated wife and mother. Together with her husband, James, they enjoyed retirement and all of the social activities at Arbor Trace, where they lived since 2006. Survivors include her loving children, James G. (Jennifer Lane) MacDonald Jr. of Nanjemoy, MD, Patricia J.M. (Vernon) Conrad of Lexington, KY, and Nancy C.M. (David) Balliet of Chestertown, MD; four grandchildren; and three great granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James G. MacDonald in 2016; and her sister, Barbara O’Neill. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs Resurrection Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Red Cross.
