Obituary for Beverly Jean Danks Beverly Jean Danks, 95, of Naples, FL, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. Formerly of Toms River, NJ and Port St. Lucie, FL, she had been a Naples resident since March 2016. She was born January 19, 1923 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Paul and Verna (née Christopher) Urban.

Bev married and her husband immediately left for Europe and World War II. She was highly independent, earned her nursing degree, and worked as a school nurse for 35 years. Bev was married to the love of her life for 72 years.

Bev’s interests included her many dogs over the years, sailing, ice and roller-skating, dancing, card games and reading. Mrs. Danks is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra Danks (Jeff) DeZellar of Naples, FL and Eden Prairie, MN; her son-in-law, Dan Janquitto of Island Heights, NJ; and four cherished grandchildren, Dana (Charles) Janquitto-Ballard, Lauren (Brian) Kolaski, Luke Janquitto and Brooks (Brooke) DeZellar. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Cooper Danks in 2016; and by her daughter, Barbara Janquitto in 2007.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Naples. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home – Family Owned Since 1978.
