Myers resident since 1994. She was born August 29, 1929 in Washington, DC, the daughter of George Abel and Ida Irene (née Keith) Hoffman. Mrs. Warner is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, H. Wayne Warner; her beloved daughter, Lisa (Robert) Bacon of Ashburn, VA; and two cherished grandchildren, George and Emily Bacon and sister-in-law, Jeanne Hoffman.

She was preceded in death by both her son, Craig H. Warner and brother, George “Pete” Hoffman earlier this year. Dolores was an Executive Secretary for Pontiac Motor Company when first married. Her most cherished jobs were “Mom” and “Grandma” as her children and grandchildren grew.

She traveled extensively with her husband, visiting many countries in Europe. A highlight was a trip on the Concord to Paris. She was active in her home churches, Concord- St. Andrews United Methodist Church and Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church, running church bazaars and assisting in many social events.

Her passions were golf, played at Columbia Country Club, Cripple Creek Country Club and The Vines. She and Wayne shared a love of trying new golf courses where ever they went. Dolores & Wayne were rabid Washington Redskins fans- they could always be found in RFK Stadium rooting for the home team.

Even after moving to Florida, she kept up with the Skins- no matter how badly they played. Her love of family came from the example of her parents- she made clothing, costumes, home décor for her children and grandchildren. She shared this love and creativity with her daughter, Lisa.
