Obituary for Kim Kay Oehme Kimla Kay “Kim” Oehme, 65 of Fort Myers, FL passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was a longtime resident of Bonita Springs, moving to Southwest Florida in 1979, coming from New Castle, IN. Kim was born January 14, 1953 in New Castle, IN a daughter of Gerald and Kathleen (Lawson) Hoopingarner.

She worked for Bonita Springs Utilities for over 20 years and was currently a customer service manager at Sunshine Ace Hardware where she worked for the past 12 years. She had worked at the Bonita Springs, San Carlos Park and currently the Golden Gate store. Kim enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving children, Brandi Lynn Hingson of Fort Myers, FL, Tyler Oehme of Fort Myers, FL; father, Gerald L. Hoopingarner of Sebring, FL; siblings, Debra Johnson of Sebring, FL, Kent (Toni) Hoopingarner of Bonita Springs, FL; Patty Jo (Rob) Lake of Greenfield, IN; step siblings, Jay (Karen) Wallace of Muncie, IN, Lindsey Whiting of New Castle, IN, Chuck Martin of New Castle, IN; grandchildren, Cody, Matthew, Kyler, Kailiann, Korilyn; 3 stepchildren; 11 step grandchildren, 1 niece; and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Hoopingarner. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail So.

, Bonita Springs, FL 34134. A funeral service will begin at 3:30 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home.
