Irene Doris Hamlin, age 88, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on September 18, 2018. She was born in Barberton on September 26, 1929. Irene retired from the City of Barberton as a billing clerk.

She was a member of the Barberton First Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, Angelo and Bertha Dangelo; brothers, Albert Dangelo and Ed Dangelo; sister, Marge Hammitt; brothers-in-law, Cliff Hammitt and Bob Durieux; and husband, Joe Hamlin. Survived by daughter, Rebecca (Chuck) Rector; son, Gary (Paula) Hamlin; sister, Sue Durieux; sister-in-law, Wilma Dangelo; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at the Barberton First Church of Christ, 552 Harvard Ave. , Barberton, OH 44203 on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2-3 pm with a service following at 3:00 pm with Al Dangelo officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Barberton First Church of Christ.
