She was born on October 20, 1927 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to Lano Guzman and Gregoria Rosado. Coming from New York City, she has been a resident of the area since 1989.

She was formerly a Cashier for Coe & Gregg Company in Manhattan, NY retiring in 1989. Irene was a member of Spirit Life Church in Salem where she was Deaconess. She attended the Salem Day Care and worked in the Oasie Soup Kitchen and Noah Ark Day Care & Preschool.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter Antonette Hinton. She is survived by her son, Pastor Anthony Rocca (Lydia); daughter, Patricia Rocco; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Maria Delas Angeles Bartolomei, Rosalia Guzman, Ana Celia Guzman, Ana Delia Guzman, Lucy Guzman; brother, Christino Guzman; and a host of family and friends.
