OBITUARY Iris Livesay Clem Barnes December 26, 1927 – September 30, 2018 Iris Livesay Clem Barnes gently left this world at home surrounded by her daughter Sharon Clem Conlin and her best friend Debbie Roque. Mrs. Barnes was born to William C. & Gladys Fulton Livesay on December 26, 1927. She attended the Old Louisville Girl’s High.

In 1945 she met the most handsome man she’d ever seen, Thomas H. Clem and they married soon. They had one daughter, Sharon. She lost Tommy in 1995.

In 2002 she met Selby F. Barnes. They were married for seven wonderful years. They traveled and just enjoyed life until he passed away of cancer in 2009.

Mrs. Barnes worked in Louisville at United Electronics Institute where she was Vice President of the company. She also owned an employment agency in Louisville, she retired at the age of 49. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon Clem Conlin, her grandson Clay & wife Jennifer, her great-grandson Chad, also nieces Carolyn Koch, Vicki Hibbs (Greg), Cindy Wentworth (Doug), Martha Nunnelly (Tookie) Bobby Livesay (Susan) and Kenny Livesay (Sue) She also had many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with interment at Cave Hill. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 pm and after 10:30 Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy to the Alzheimers Association.

Mama was a wonderful mother, wife and friend who will be missed dearly.
