Irma Raquel Rodriguez 1947-2019 Irma Raquel Rodriguez, 71, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend returned to our loving Heavenly Father on February 16, 2019 after a courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer. Irma was born on April 9, 1947 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to Jacinta and Filemon Alfaro. She was one of nine children.

It was there where she met her loving husband, Luis Antonio Rodriguez Sr., they were married on February 14, 1969. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Guatemala City, Guatemala Temple. Recently, they celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Together, they had three sons: Luis Rodriguez Jr., Danny Rodriguez, and Jorge Rodriguez. As a family, they moved and resided in Utah. They have lived in Clinton, Utah for the past twenty-five years.

Irma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and developed a strong love and relationship for her Heavenly Father and savior Jesus Christ. She has served and held numerous church callings. Irma enjoyed playing basketball, gardening, shopping, traveling, having traditional holiday parties, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Irma was a very kind, friendly, honest, hard-working, and loving family member and friend. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Irma is survived by her husband, Luis Antonio Rodriguez Sr.; their three sons, Luis Rodriguez Jr., Danny Rodriguez (Patricia), and Jorge Rodriguez (Alejandra); their eight grandchildren; her five brothers; and her two sisters.

Irma is preceded in death by her mother Jacinta Alfaro; her father Filemon Alfaro; and her brother Antonio Alfaro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the West Point 15th Ward , 3488 West 300 North. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
