Obituary for Islwyn Jones Islwyn “Issy” Jones, 92 A resident of Downingtown formerly of Glenolden passed away on October 3, 2018. Mr. Jones was born in Wales, United Kingdom to the late David and Doris Jones. Issy was a 1944 graduate of Ashland High School in Ashland, PA and a 1947 graduate of Kerpel Dental School in Philadelphia.

Out of high school he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and then eventually joined the U.S. Marines serving in the Pacific during WWII. Mr. Jones was retired from Conrail where he worked as a Freight Conductor for 27 years. He was a longtime member of the Clifton United Methodist Church in Clifton Heights.

Issy also enjoyed fishing and being on the water. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Margaret (Cooper) Jones; children, Sharyn (Daniel) Kelley, Carol (Anthony) DeGregorio and Margie Mushlit; 8 grandchildren;18 great grandchildren. Funeral Services and Interment will be private.
