Jack Carrigan, 92, of Cherry Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away May 5, 2019 at Good Life Assisted Living. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Chaplain Fred MacDonald with Encompass Hospice officiating.

Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jack was born January 26, 1927 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Wesley and Carmen (Hepler) Carrigan. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Jack married Afton “Tiny” Hood June 30, 1951. He worked for National Potash for many years before retiring. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an excellent wood carver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tiny Carrigan and his parents. Survivors are his son, Steve Carrigan and wife, Tammy of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Jackie Carrigan of Sacramento, California; granddaughters: Allie Cooper and husband, Tyler and Emmalee Carrigan.
