Obituary for Jack Henning Jack Henning, age 77 of Darien, WI passed away at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI on Monday July 23, 2018. He was born on April 11, 1941 to Raymond and Nellie Henning. Jack worked on the family farm with his father and brother Bill for many years.
He had a deep love for the farmland he worked and the beauty it held. He graduated from Clinton High School. Besides farming, Jack was an extremely talented wood model ship builder and has may awards and accolades in the ship building community.
He took extreme pride in the fact that if he did not think the ship looked authentic enough, he would redesign it of hand cut his own wooden planks or tiny nails to incorporate into the ship. He designed and engineered much of the machinery that was used in the building of his ships. He was a lover and collector of classic cars.
He also crafted grandfather clocks and furniture. Jack is Survived by his daughter Amber Henning (Fiancé Walter Hayward) and Cindy (Bill) Laux. Brother Bill Henning, Brother-In-Law Larry Reddy, Sister-In-Law Darlene Henning, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren Taren, Nia, Camery, Brennan and Patrick.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Nellie Henning, his brother Jerry Henning, his sister Karen Reddy, Sister-In-Law Robin Henning and niece Shelley Henning. The family gives thanks and gratitude to the ICU Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Mercy Hospital who cared for Jack in his last days. A gathering of friends will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Betzer Funeral Home from 3 to 6 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Assistant Pastor Larry Hansen of Mt.
