Roux Sr., 90, of Rome died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born December 16, 1928 in Rome, NY the son of Marcel and Gladys Conley Roux. Jack attended Rome Schools and served in the Army from 1950-1952.

On November 6, 1954 he married Ester Mary Hollenbeck in the First Baptist Church. She died April 16, 2005. Jack started working for Roux Wire and Die Works, Oriskany, NY; he then went to work for Dor-Mar Roofing and retired after 35 years and age 80.

He was a great outdoorsman and an avid hunter. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Lorelei and Edward Schroyer, Holdenville, OK and Michele and Donald Combs, Rome; two sons, Jack R. Roux, Jr. and Keith D. Roux, both of Rome; a brother, David Roux, Rome; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great great granddaughters. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Aeillo and three brothers, Francis Roux, Donald Roux, and Wayne Roux.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court St., Rome. Interment will be in Lee Valley Cemetery.
