CASEYVILLE- Jackie M. (Hayes) Keel, 70, of Caseyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 3:25 A.M. at her residence. Jackie was born August 10, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL to Robert Woodrow Sr. and Marie (Thompson) Hayes. She married Robert O’Neil Keel on August 20, 1966; together they shared 49 years of marriage.

He preceded her in death on March 14, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Franklin L. (Judy) Hayes Sr., Otis R. Hayes Sr., Robert W. Hayes Jr. (Jeanie) and Donald Dean Hayes; sisters, Rosealee Hayes, Betty (Lou) Rangel, Pamela (Bill) Lee; granddaughter, Jennifer L. Herling; Great-granddaughter, Lacy L. Farris. Jackie is survived by her three daughters, Christine Keel (Thomas Herling) and Angela Keel, both of Caseyville, IL and Deana Vandeford (Ricki) of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Cynthia Farris, Jessica Herling, Alicia and Adam Keel and Cierra (Tink) Vandeford; great-granchildren, Madelynn Cuvar, Bentlee Stover and Jaylynn Littlefield; sisters, Ruth (Donald) Stoecklin and Patsy (Ruben) Beltran and brothers, Billy (Ellen) Hayes.

Ricky (Roberta) Hayes and Timmie Hayes. Jackie was baptized at Faith Chapel Church on December 5, 1982 by Rev. Jim Clubb.

She worked as the head housekeeper at the Days Inn for 5 years and also at Casey’s General Store making doughnuts for 5 years. She dearly loved her family, whether they were blood relation or not. She was always taking care of others.

She loved baking and decorating cakes. Above all else, she loved to dance and have fun with her dearest family and friends. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Pastor Ron and Debbie Habermehl for always being there at the drop of a hat.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL. Memorial condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
