Jacqueleen’s Obituary Jacqueleen Schatz, 84, Bismarck, died February 21, 2019, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. A memorial service will be held 12:30 pm Friday, June 7, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Cremation has taken place.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, June 7, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Jacqueleen Arlis Gesellchen was born on October 6, 1934, in Bismarck, the daughter of John and Leore (Buechler) Gesellchen. She attended school in Bismarck and following graduation worked various jobs including Finney Drug, Plaza Drug, A. W. Lucas, and finally the State Bank of Burleigh County, where she retired from.

Upon her retirement, Jacqueleen and a friend bought a restaurant called, Kuechle Corners. She sold her interests two years later and retired completely. Jacqueleen married Norman Schatz on February 15, 1953; the couple had one daughter, Linda, and one son, Norman Jr

She enjoyed canning, crocheting, riding motorcycles, antiquing, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Jacqueleen is survived by her husband, Norman; daughter, Linda (Lynn) Thomsen, Fargo; son, Norman Jr. (Cindy) Schatz, Bismarck; grandchildren, Jeff (Ann) Thomsen, Fargo, Jim (Heather) Thomsen, Fargo, Norman Schatz III, Bismarck, and Taylor Schatz, Fargo; four great-grandchildren, Aspyn, Peightan, Regyn, and Jaxson; great-great-grandson, Zaidyn; sister, Lovila “Vi” Bernhardt, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jim Gesellchen; and her in-laws.
