Eagle Thunder, 37, of Sioux City, IA formerly of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 pm Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lower Brule, SD with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD. Jaimee Eagle Thunder, 37, member of Kul Wicasa Oyate and beautiful daughter of Herbert J. Eagle Thunder and Carol Medicine Eagle, and granddaughter of Fern Elizabeth Stricker-Quilt and Geraldine Medicine Eagle passed away on April 23, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Jaimee was born April 28, 1981 to Herbert Eagle Thunder and Carol Medicine Eagle.

She attended grade school and high school in Lower Brule, SD. She resided in Sioux Falls, SD, before moving to Albuquerque, NM, and finally Sioux City, IA. She was blessed with seven children.

She was a kind-hearted, loving young woman. She had an outgoing personality, always smiling, and was not afraid to work or help out in any way. She always made it a point to contact a relative or friend no matter where you were.

Wicahpi Iyoyan Win, Jaimee Marie Eagle Thunder, ” Shining Star Woman”, was a beautiful child of God, Wakantanka, the Creator. Gratefully sharing her life are her parents Herbert J. Eagle Thunder and Carol Medicine Eagle; five children Theresa Wind, Treymaine Eagle Thunder-Algers, Kray Blue Bird, Harmony Eagle Thunder, Baby Roosevelt Eagle Thunder, Jr.; sisters Sunny, Lynn, Destiny, and Katrina Grassrope; brothers Cetan Eagle Thunder, Ben Jo Grassrope, Jude Grassrope, and Wade Felicia; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her baby son Heth Traversie Jr.; brother Maza Grassrope; paternal grandparents Fern Elizabeth Quilt and Felix; and maternal grandmother Geraldine Medicine Eagle.
