Obituary for Jake Allen Mr. Jehu Wesley “Jake” Allen was born in Richland, Texas on June 15, 1926 to Sue Belle and E. S. Allen. God welcomed one of His most gentle and kind servants to his heavenly home on July 3, 2018. He graduated from Richland High School and earned his Bachelors and Master’s Degrees from North Texas University.

After graduation he entered a lifetime of public education, beginning at the small struggling school in Barry, Texas. He influenced countless numbers of young people during his career. He was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church for fifty years where he lead the singing in his Sunday School class.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the last years of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of sixty nine years, Neoma.

Also one brother, Thomas R. Allen and several devoted nieces and nephews and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with DR. Steven Bell officiating.

Burial will be at a later date. Those wishing to remember Jake with a memorial may do so by contributing to First United Methodist Church or Navarro County Humane Society.
