Memorial service is pending at this time. Jim was born on May 29, 1951 in Duluth, MN to Kenneth and Geraldine Johnson.

He was one of three children. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife Sharon Johnson, children; Traci Johnson of Savage, Brian Johnson and significant other, Solveig Erickson of Chaska, Tammy Baden and husband Rob of Detroit Lakes; 7 grandchildren; step-children, Jenny Varness and significant other Chuck of Andover, Jeff Varness of Big Lake; sisters, Linda Anderson of FL and Jean Johnson of Big Lake.
