James “Andy” Griffith, 77, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on November 18, 1940 in Ringling, Oklahoma, a son of the late V.M. Griffith and Mary (Akers) Griffith. He retired from the US Army and a devoted husband.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen Griffith of the home; one daughter, Marie Gulledge and husband Jim; one granddaughter, Kelly Hendricks and husband Michael all of Huntsville, Arkansas; and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas from 2:00pm until 3:00pm. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Sonora Cemetery.

Pastor Jim Hepler will officiate the service.
