James C. Anspach, age 63, of Madison Twp. passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 at David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid.
Born Oct. 4, 1955 in Grand Rapids, MI to Carl and Diane (nee: Tomlinson) Anspach, he had been a longtime area resident. Jim worked as Maintenance Supervisor with the Geauga County Job & Family Services, where he had worked for many years.
He enjoyed music and played in the “Once Again” Band with his brother and longtime friends. Jim was a glass artist and the creator of the “Fire & Ice” bead, presented to the ISGB in Kansas City. Jim was a real life “Santa” & “Mr. Fix-it”.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years Sheryll (nee: Hubbard) Anspach of Madison Twp; children with Penny (nee: Skarupa) Lindsey Anspach of Hiram, Laurel (Lenny Fife) Anspach of Hiram; and Sheryll’s children Alex (Bridgette) Demko of Chardon Twp, Maggie Demko of Madison and Hannah Demko of Columbus; very adored grandson Finley Fife; siblings Richard (Chrissy) Anspach of Mentor-on-the-Lake and Carla (Dave) Slater of Florida and many extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be at 6pm on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes of Painesville, 1009 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH with a gathering from 4-6pm.
A private family burial will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to the Potti & Marc F. Burr Funeral Homes of Painesville. In place of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice or volunteer in Jim’s honor.
