James C. Hicks August 17, 1938 – March 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation James Hicks, formerly of Mio, Michigan, passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday, March 8, 2019 with his wife and children by his side. James grew up in Mio, and owned Hicks Barber shop for many years before moving to St. Ignace, Michigan to live on the Pine River in 1988. Jim loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, and just being in the woods.

Jim leaves behind his wife Joy, his son Jamie & his wife Michelle, his daughter Julie & her husband Kirk, and four grandchildren: Jay, Bodie, Devin, and Morgan. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
