Obituary for James Cal Morris DON’T GRIEVE FOR ME LONG, FOR NOW I’M FREE. I AM FOLLOWING THE PATH, GOD LAID FOR ME, I TOOK HIS HAND WHEN I HEARD HIM CALL, I TURNED BY BACK AND LEFT IT ALL I COULD NOT STAY ANOTHER DAY, TO LAUGH, TO LOVE, TO WORK OR PLAY… MR. JAMES CAL MORRIS, WAS BORN MAY 6, 1978 IN MARSHALL, TEXAS.

HE MOVED TO DALLAS, TEXAS AT AN EARLY AGE, WHERE HE GRADUATED FROM CARTER HIGH SCHOOL. HE WAS ON THE CARTER FOOTBALL TEAM AND WRESTLING TEAM. HE GRADUATED FROM TEXAS BARBER COLLEGE, HE WAS A CDL OPERATOR AND A CONSTRUCTION WORKER.

HE LOVED SINGING AND ATTENDED GREATER PROVIDENCE BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE HE SANG IN THE CHOIR. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FATHER, JAMES CAL BUTLER. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS MOTHER, ANNIE P. MORRIS-SHED OF KARNACK, TEXAS; STEP-FATHER, LEE WEBB SHED OF BUTLER, TEXAS; BROTHER, LEE WEBB SHED, II (ALONDRA KING) OF DALLAS, TEXAS; SISTERS, LATASHA THOMAS AND MIESHA JACKSON OF MARSHALL, TEXAS; STEP-SISTER, MYESHA HUNTER-SHED OF DALLAS, TEXAS; AUNTS, SANDRA WAITS OF JEFFERSON, TEXAS, TONYA MITCHELL-COOKE, AZZIE BROOKINS (CARL) OF DALLAS, TEXAS, ERVIE MITCHELL OF KARNACK, TEXAS , CHARLIE ANN BUTLER-WABBINGTON, JEWEL BUTLER, CHERYL BUTLER-WASHINGTON AND GENNIFIER BUTLER; UNCLES, DONYAN MORRIS (CARA JOHNSON), WENDELL MORRIS (RAKIEEL), JAMES REYNOLDS, EDWARD REYNOLDS, WILLIE WILLIAMS OF MARSHALL, TEXAS, ANDRE MITCHELL, SR.
