Obituary for James Carroll Nicholson James Carroll Nicholson, 85, of Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Roper Hospice Cottage, Mt. Pleasant, SC. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at 1 o’clock at the The Village at Summerville, 201 West 9th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.

Family will greet friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roper Hospice Cottage, 676 Wando Park Blvd. , Mt.

Pleasant, SC 29464. James was born on April 20, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, TN, son of the late George Taylor and Lutie Mae Nicholson.

He graduated from Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant, TN. He received his Bachelors Degree from Tennessee Tech in Industrial Management.

James was an Airforce Veteran. He retired from DuPont after 35 years of service. He was very active in the Presbyterian Church, serving in several leadership roles in the Charleston Atlantic Presbytery.

Survivors include: one son: James C. Nicholson, Jr. (Margret) of Summerville; one daughter: Martha N. Graves (Gerry) of Charleston; four grandchildren: Kristin, Jack, Anna, and Derek; one sister: Dorothy Mabry of Columbia, TN; and one brother: Wray Nicholson, (Janette) of Gallatin, TN. He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www.
