James’ Obituary Charles Ellis, 89 of North Little Rock, formerly of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away January 11, 2019 in Lake Village, Arkansas. James was born June 14, 1929 in Crockett, Texas and was the son of the late, Will and Eliza Quarles Ellis. He had attended Texas A&M University and was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University.

His parents and wife, Louise Ellis, two sisters, Alta Shirley and Jean Ellis and two brothers, Jerry Ellis and Will Ellis preceded him in death. James was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the United States Army as Corporal during Korea from November 12, 1953 until November 10,1955.

Employed by the United States government as a Mechanical Engineer at Pine Bluff Arsenal. Survivors are his son, James Ellis, Jr and wife, Kay of Fort Worth, Texas and daughter, Terry Ratliff and husband, Buddy of Lake Village, Arkansas and eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services to be held 2:00pm on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Evergreen Memorial in Crockett, Texas with Rev.
