Batesburg-Services for James Daniel Walker, 95, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at Eastside Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Christ the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Christian Enrichment Center of Eastside Baptist Church.

Memorial may be made to Eastside Baptist Church Tape/DVD Ministry, P. O. Box 2159, Batesburg-Leesville SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family. Mr. Walker passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at home.

He was born January 29, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Benjamin Frank and Harriette Irene Keels Walker. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where he joyfully served in many different areas. He served as a Sergeant in the Army-Air Corps during WWII.

Mr. Walker retired from Liberty Life Insurance as a manager with 34 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Ruby Redmon Walker. Surviving are a son, Ronnie Walker (Sandra); daughters, Jeannene Derrick (Teddy) and Christie Rabon (Robbie); grandchildren, Shannon Walker (Sabrina) and Bryan Derrick (Kay); great-grandchildren, Sophia and Skyler Walker, Jenna, Noah, and Abby Derrick.
