James Dwight Stickler died October 2, 2018 in Lexington at the age of 75 years 3 months 3 days. Memorial Services are pending at this time. Jim was born June 30, 1943 in Centerville, Iowa to Jesse Dewey and Marjorie Lavon (McDanolds) Stickler.

Until the age of 6, he was raised in Centerville, Iowa. The family relocated to East Moline, Illinois, where he attended school, graduating around 1961. Jim worked as a Construction Superintendent for many years, building Waffle Houses all over the country.

In December 1986, he married Tammy Lambert Andrews in Angleton, Texas. They made Lexington their home almost 4 years ago. Jim was a hard worker, and enjoyed working with his hands.

He was a wood worker, building cabinetry, and doing many other crafts. He and his wife spent many hours over the last 5 years at craft shows. Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He had a passion for breeding and raising race horses with his son. James was ornery, loved to laugh and have a good time. He was a member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Marjorie Stickler; an infant brother, Johnny Stickler; and sister, Bonnie Lund. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Andrews-Stickler; sons, Jerry David Stickler and wife, Chancey, Paul Allen Stickler and wife, Chris, Kenneth Andrews and wife, Angela; siblings, Nancy Boyer and husband, Wayne, Kathy Hemm and husband, Willie, Lenzy Stickler and wife, Brenda, Barb Stabler and husband, Larry; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
