James E. Deming, 67, passed away July 4, 2018. He was born January 6, 1951 in Rome, NY, where he also grew up. James, or Jimbo, as most knew him by, served our beaches community and worked with the City of Atlantic Beach for over 25 years.

He dedicated countless hours to his church, Palms Presbyterian Church. He was also a supporter of the arts and worked with IATSE, backstage hand union, in Jacksonville. James was the biggest fan of the Jaguars, having season tickets since the inception of the team.

He embodied selflessness; he was a loving worker of God, always put others before himself, a loving husband, father and friend. James is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sally; son, Casey; sister, Vicki; and his mother, Sue. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Palms Presbyterian Church at the beginning of September (date TBD).
