Jaes E. Workman, 85, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Workman (Hannah), and his brother, William Workman. He survived by h is wife of 56 years, Carole Workman, and daughter, Jamie (Lyn) Ramp, as well as five grandchildren.

James (or Jim, as he was more commonly known) was born and raised in Saltville, VA. He served in the United States Air Force for nearly 10 years, touring in both Japan and Korea. Upon discharge, he began working for Olin Mathieson (now Olin Corporation), which brought him to Augusta, and where he worked until his retirement.

A stranger to on one, he was known by friends and family for his stories and was always inviting people to “come in the house”. He will be remembered fondly and missed forever. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
