James “Edward Lee” Willett, 88 of Pomfret, Maryland, died February 7, 2019. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. He was the son of James Harrison Lee Willett and Nellie Loretta Coombs Willett.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife, Betty Welch Willett; his brothers, Joseph and Rick Willett; and his sisters, Anna Welch and Rita Dutton. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Pickeral Willett; his daughters, Jane W. Fleming, Constance L. Austin (Steve), and Julie D. Keesee (Craig); his brother, Douglas Willett; his sisters, Margaret Hurlburt and Patricia Cox; his grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Marianne, Jenny, Timmy, Jake, and Kyle; and his great grandchildren, Jaimlin, Ayden, Landen, Heidi, and Haleigh. Edward Lee was born, raised, and worked on the family tobacco farm.

In his youth, he played baseball with the county league team in Pomfret. Edward Lee worked with his uncles as a plasterer and ended his career with Davis Corp. Friends received on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Wake Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions in Edward Lee’s name are asked to Hospice of Charles County or St. Joseph’s Building Fund.
