James Bolagard Bryant, age 95 of Nanjemoy, Maryland died February 7, 2019 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. James was a Tug Boat Captain for 25 years with Smoot Sand & Gravel in Washington, DC. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

He enjoyed playing poker, writing letters to friends, and long walks. He was generous to all. He was the son of Bolagard Bryant and Alberta Bryant.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Georgia Childress Bryant and his siblings, Lola Campbell, Tom Bryant, Clara Upfold, Vertsi Ringo, Johnny Bryant, Johnson Bryant, Archie Bryant, and Isabell Bryant. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Marie Miller (Curtis); his grandson, Kevin Chapman (Tracy); and his great grandchildren, and Cory Wallace and Katie Wallace. Friends received on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 9:30AM until time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.

Interment to follow at Washington National Cemetery, 401 Suitland Road, Suitland, Maryland 20746. Memorial contributions in James’ name are asked to Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, 29449 Charlotte Hall Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland 20622.
