James Edward Mills August 19, 1937 – December 28, 2018 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card James Edward Mills, 81 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home. Jim was born August 19, 1937, in Spring Hill, Kansas. Eventually Jim moved to South Amherst and then Vermilion before making Lorain his home for the last ten years.

Jim was a nozzle cutter for the Nordson Corporation where he worked for 41 years. He loved to play golf and work with wood crafting furniture as a skilled craftsman. He proudly served his country in the US Navy.

By far his greatest passion was his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Thomas (Rita) Mills of Lorain; his daughter Tammy (Greg) Norman of Amherst; his grandchildren Greg (Roxann) Norman; Nicole (Jay) Schmidt; Derek Mills; Chad Mills; Steven Bruce; Amanda Bruce; five great grandchildren; and his sister Dorothy of Washington. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathryn Jean Calkins in 2010; his brothers Eugene, Steve, Don, and Sherman; his sister Lorainne; his parents Fred and Zelma Mills (nee: Smith) as well as his former wife Bonne Jean (nee: Woods).
