Obituary for James Edward Pope James Edward Pope, 74, of Georgetown, husband of the late Gladys Pope, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at NHC of Oak Ridge in Oak Ridge, TN. Family and friends are invited to attend James’s visitation on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6 to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 1 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Rd. , Summerville, SC 29485. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family in c/o James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483.

James was born on May 5, 1943 in Hemingway, SC, son of the late Buie Snow and Mary Jane Pope. He enjoyed fishing but most of all loved spending time with his family. Survivors include: two daughters: Tracy Brooks (Tim) of Canton, GA and Wendy Parker (Mike) of Clinton, TN; seven grandchildren: Victoria Jennings, Patrick Jennings, Matthew Jennings, Tameika Rains, KJ Foht, Gabriel Brooks and Makenzie Brooks; three brothers: Lewis Pope (Nellie Jo), Charles Pope (Kathy) and Wendel Pope (Geri); four sisters: Inez Lambert (Franklin), Alice Smith (BJ), Juanita Thompson and Diane Poston (David).

He was predeceased by one sister: Mauldin Poston. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www. jamesadyal.com.
