Mr. James Houston Thomas, age 74, of Cusseta, AL passed away on Monday, October 29th, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. He was born on December 20th, 1943 at his family’s home in Cusseta. Mr. Thomas is survived by his niece, Kristen (Frank) Conway of Phenix City, AL and a host of other caring relatives.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Anna Thomas and his brother, Lynn Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a very dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church. He spent his career working in the textile industry, first with the Opelika Manufacturing Company and then with West Point Pepperell.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1st, at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the graveside in Fairfax Cemetery. The Reverend Frank Chappell will officiate. The family will receive friends in the cemetery following the service.
