Joe Bennett Joey Williams Iii , May 16, 1989 — November 21, 2018

Joe Bennett (“Joey”) Williams, III was born on May 16, 1989 in Valley, Alabama, and passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Joey was a resident of Valley, Alabama. He is survived by his grandmother/adoptive mother, Patricia Still Williams; his brother, Scott Miller; his sister, Jessica Elliott (Sam) and his niece, Hadalyn and nephew, Hayden; his grandmother, Brenda Payne; and his aunt, Casaundra Bennett.

He is also survived by his biological parents, Joe Williams, Jr., (Angie) and Sheila Hand (Illya), as well as other aunts, uncles and cousins. Joey was predeceased by his grandfather/adoptive father, Joe Bennett Williams, Sr. Visitation will be held at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel, 3700 20th Avenue, Valley, Alabama, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST on Monday, November 26, 2018. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 3 p.m. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel.

Joey grew up in the Valley area and attended Shawmut Elementary School, W.F. Burns Middle School, and Valley High School. After graduation, he attended Valley Haven School until a few days before his death. He loved electronics and from a young age showed a remarkable facility for computers.

He enjoyed playing his keyboard and relished the opportunity to perform for an audience. Joey was always friendly and outgoing and he was an uplifting presence who brightened the days of all those with whom he had contact. He will be sorely missed by so many in the community of which he was an integral part.
