James J. Champ, Sr. 67, of Ravenna Township, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at UH Portage Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1951 in Morgantown, WV to Herschel H. and Deelois (Reese) Champ. Mr. Champ was retired from the City of Aurora as Head Inspector.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Ferrell) Champ, children Judy (Bryan) Wilson , James ( Kelly) Champ Jr and Zeda Rebecca Champ, grandchildren Stephanie (Eric) Slavings, Jacob and Emmalynn Champ, Jordan Wilson and Zackery Ladich, great-grandchildren Gabryella-Jaide, Logan and Jude, and siblings Zelma Riddle, Mary Loar, and Ruth Ann Showalter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Champ. Calling hours will be Friday May 4, 2018 from 4PM until time on the Memorial Service at 6:00PM at the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna.
