James “Jay”‘s Obituary Tulia, Texas—James A. “Jay” Tucker, 62, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Jay was born on August 21, 1956 in Austin to Dr. James and Virginia Tucker. He attended Tulia High School and joined the US Marines in March of his senior year, 1975. He obtained sharp shooter honors as a marine and also worked as an airplane mechanic before he was honorably discharged in 1979.

He came back to Lubbock and attended South Plains College before moving to Austin. He lived there and worked in the house construction business for several years before he moved back to Tulia to take care of his parents. He is preceded in death by his father: Dr. James Tucker and his infant brother and sister: Jimmy Tucker and Jenny Tucker.

He is survived by his mother: Virginia Tucker of Tulia, his sister and brother-in-law: Cathy and Joe Clifford of Lubbock and his niece: Dakota Limon of Bolder Colorado. Online condolences may be made at www. kornerstonefunerals.com.
