James “Jim” L. Michael, 91, of Barrington, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018. He was born on February 25, 1927 in Quincy, IL to Virgil and Genevieve (nee Loomis) Michael. Jim will be deeply missed by his loving children, Nancy (Bill) Hartwig, Mary (Tim) Howard, Jim (Nancy) Michael; grandchildren, Joy (Jason) Latek, Jennifer (Chris) Orth, Bill (Crissy) Hartwig, Tim, Joey (Kim), and Chris (Olivia) Howard, Kelly and Danny (Amanda) Michael; great- grandchildren, Kate, Carson, Harrison, D.J. and Hunter.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Juanita; siblings, and by his parents. Memorial visitation will be Monday, October 8, 2018, from 3 PM until 6 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd. , Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

Interment will be private.
