James “Jim”‘s Obituary WATERBURY, JAMES R.; of Clarkston formerly of Watertown, NY; February 10, 2019; age 65; husband of Karen; father of Jameson & Victoria; brother of Elizabeth (Ben) JaQuay, Mark (Renee) Waterbury and David (Jean) Waterbury. Jimmy believed that God has a plan for each of us, and that it is already written – so his choices were what was supposed to be! He grew up in Watertown, New York where he and his family attended the First Presbyterian Church.

His family spent their summers on Lewis Island in Ontario, his favorite place for the rest of his life. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1971, then left Watertown to pursue a degree in marine biology. Jim was a strong patriot and enlisted in the Army Reserve for 2 years to satisfy his duty and to serve.

He worked his way up at Bob Sharp Motors, in Danbury CT, as their Parts Manager which became his stepping stone into the Information Technology field. In 1986 he joined EDS to launch the Dealer Systems platform as their Parts Specialist and continued using his expertise for over 30 years until his retirement this past October. One of his proudest accomplishments was the Saturn Corporation Parts System, which he was instrumental in developing.

“Parts is parts”, he always said. Jimmy loved learning about the world, especially nature and history. He looked forward to the yearly duck hunting and computer gaming escapes with his life-long friends and family, as well as his role as the fishing tour guide at the family cottage during summer vacation.

Jimmy will be sorely missed. Jim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen and their son Jameson. He also is survived by his first wife, Catherine VanSaun and their daughter Tory.

Family services have been held. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. Online guestbook www.
