James (Jim) William Carmichael Sr., age 73, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018, at his home. Jim was born on January 11, 1945, in Fort Atkinson, the son of George and Sophie (Ganer) Carmichael. Jim was an owner of the Clark gas station in Fort Atkinson for over 20 years.

Due to a series of heart attacks, he retired. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and building/constructing. He had a sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Jim is survived… Read More » by longtime companion Sue Stephani; children, Dawn (Keith) Habeck, Sandra (Eric) Carmichael, James (Kimberly) Carmichael, Michelle (Matthew) Gottschalk, Emily (Michael) Carmichael, Jason (Angela) Carmichael; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Georgia (Robert) Achilli; brother Michael Carmichael. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Robert and George. Per Jim’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

The Gunderson Funeral Home of Lodi is assisting the family.
